Maine is my muse. My approach to
painting depends on a layering of color that allows for luminous
quality of pastels to achieve a rich depth of color and texture.
The subtle interplay of light and shadow brings a scene alive for
me. I love to paint outdoors where I am drawn to open places--
marshes, meadows, blueberry barrens, the edge of the sea. I am
self-taught and have exhibited in two solo shows, numerous
juried group shows and my work is in private and corporate collections. |
